I was driving down my sister’s driveway. Her driveway is pretty steep and very icy. I’ve slid down it many times…but I’ve always successfully avoided hitting anything. Well…today I was driving down the driveway as a kid (whose parents should watch him more closely) was walking up the middle of the driveway and dragging his bike. I basically had to decide whether I would rather hit the kid…or the tree. I chose tree. : )
There isn’t too much damage to my car…and no damage to me. I was shaken up for a few minutes but otherwise fine. I’m taking the car to get checked out later…
Not exactly the day I wanted to enjoy the afternoon…but it could have been worse. I wasn’t wearing my seatbelt which is a very bad habit of mine…but I wasn’t going fast enough to do any real damage.
