There are several blogs that I read every day. Most of them are the blogs of friends and family…some of them are the blogs of people that I don’t even know! It’s a fun way to keep up with people.
Most of the blogs that I read are the blogs of parents. They share lots of cute pictures of their kiddos…and I love seeing those cute pictures. But here’s the thing…I don’t have kids…or a husband…or a dog for that matter.
For this reason, I’ve had trouble deciding what to blog about. Do people really care about the random goings on of my single life? When I’m reading blogs about kids, illness, and struggles to have a family…it’s hard to believe that my search for the perfect black heels is “blog worthy.”
I realized something. People think about blog about their lives. I’m pretty sure that if I have children some day that I’ll write about their diaper rash and first steps…but for now…I really don’t have any of those stories to tell. And that’s okay. It doesn’t mean that my life is better or worse, it is just different!
So…I’ll continue to write about my life. It may seem petty to some…and to some it may even seem “empty”…but it’s my life, and I really love it.
I love hearing about the adventures of Alaska, crappy cell phone companies, and your crazy goings on! It gives me something to look forward to each day. I always think that everyone else’s lives seem so much more exciting than mine! Keep it up…otherwise how will I ever keep up with you…I guess I will just have to come and visit!
I came across your site somehow, and I am glad that I did. I feel like I am catching up on how you are doing. I hope that you keep blogging and know that what you say is important. It is an inspiration to others who need to be reminded of how wonderful God truly is. Besides now I want to find money to come too…but probably not happening now.
